YEAR 3-4: THURSDAY 20th JUNE
THE BLACK AND WHITE RIPPA RUGBY TOURNAMENT IS ON AGAIN – A FANTASTIC DAY OF ACTION AND EXCITEMENT FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO RUN, THROW, CATCH, RIP, GET A BIT GRUBBY AND CHEER ON THEIR MATES – THATS YOU!!!
Registrations Close: Saturday 1st June 2019
WHEN: The Black and White Rippa Rugby Tournament is being held on Thursday 20th June for Year 3-4 teams at Ron Giorgi Park, Flaxmere.
WHAT: This is a fantastic full day of games, designed to be fast and fun. Emphasis is on participation and having a go – teams are encouraged to be bright, loud and proud, supporting and respecting each other, their coaches, refs and opposing teams.
WHO: Y3-4 students. All teams are mixed boys and girls, with games played 7 aside (minimum of two girls on the field at any one time). Come on girls – have a go!
UNIFORM: Games are all played barefoot, with players to wear their own School Performance Shirt and navy shorts. There is a minimum of five games played during the day, so bring plenty of food for energy, water bottles and a change of warm clothes in case of cold weather.
COST: Cost for the day is $10 which is to cover the cost of buses over to Flaxmere.
COACHING: Parents, we will need your support for coaching/managing teams (no experience necessary, no reffing – all you need is some enthusiasm and energy), emergency transport, and cheering our players on from the sidelines. All teams must be supported by a parent coach/manager in order to participate, and we will endeavor to provide two parents per team, if numbers allow. Please indicate on the registration form if you can help on the day.
We will be leaving school at 8.30am on the day and returning around 3pm. We will also be co-coordinating some practice sessions at school for players and those parents who can make it.
