INTERSCHOOL TABLOID SPORTS 2018

Kia ora whānau,

Interschool Tabloid Sports will be held on Thursday 10th May (no postponement date) at Windsor Park near the Holiday Park on Windsor Ave. ALL students in Year 4 will be taking part in this event, which we are hosting for the first time this year.

This is a fantastic event where the focus is on participation and fun, and we will be using this opportunity as a fundraiser for the school. Please find food order form attached. A paper copy will go home on Wednesday 2nd May.

On the day, we will travel to the event by car. This means each class needs 5 parents to help with transport. If you can help, please indicate this on the form below.

We will depart school for Windsor Park at 10am. Upon arrival children will have time to eat their brain food before getting into their teams of 10 (organized before the day). The children will complete a rotation of a variety of different activities before and after lunch.

The time table for the day is as follows:

11:00 Round 1 Starts

11:15 Round 2 Starts

11:30 Round 3 Starts

11:45 Round 4 Starts

12:00 LUNCH Food Orders Delivered

12:30 Prepare to move to Round 5

12:40 Round 5 Starts

12:55 Round 6 Starts

1:10 Round 7 Starts

1:25 Round 8 Starts

1:40 Round 9 Starts

1:55 End of activities

2.00 Tidy up and depart

Children are asked to wear their school performance shirt, navy shorts, running shoes (9 activities throughout the day) and a jersey. Children will also need to take with them their school bags containing a drink bottle and lunch/snacks.

There will be a lot of children there, on the day, so please ensure your child’s things are named and if they take off jerseys they go straight into their bags. If you need a performance shirt, please tell your child’s classroom teacher. I will provide some on the day to those who have requested one.

Kind regards,

Samantha Newton
