A fun, skills based introductory program for juniors and any other students who may benefit and wish to learn the basics of cricket. This provides a strong foundation for children wishing to go on and play Saturday Kiwi cricket, teaching batting technique, bowling action, catching, throwing and introductory game play. All equipment and resources for participants are provided by the school. This is a morning of skill development in the medium of cricket- not a game of cricket. Students will receive a cricket set the cost of this is the price of the sessions, included in the set is wicket, bat, ball and a carry bag (see picture below)
WHEN: Saturday mornings, 9.00am
SEASON DATES: 15th Feb - 21st March 2020
FEES: $35 per child (Covers Term 1 and Term 4)
UNIFORM: Casual sports clothing and appropriate shoes for astro turf surface.
COACHING: New and existing coaches welcome. Resources supplied by the school.
This sport can only take place with the help of parents to run the coaching however, all parents are asked to attend each session to be helpers. We do need a facilitator to coordinate the sessions and stations. We will give you all the information you need before the day so you can get prepared and have all the resources at school.
