Reporting to Parents

We operate an open door policy where parents are welcome to visit the classroom to share their child’s progress.
Children’s exercise books are always available for parents to have a look through. In the front of the books is an explanation of the learning the book reflects. Throughout the book, feedback on learning is given and next learning steps are identified.

In term 1, we hold parent interviews with the class teacher. This is an opportunity to discuss your child’s learning.
Information on student learning and achievement is formally reported twice each year.

Learning conferences are held at the end of term 2. The student leads the conference by sharing their learning and achievements with parents. A written summary of this conference will come to you soon after the conference.

A written report is sent home at the end of the year. The structure of reporting to parents is reviewed constantly.
